About

Dr Desiree Saddik is a highly experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 40 years of practice in the field of psychology. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, a Master’s in Child Psychology, a Master’s in Clinical Psychology, and a Diploma in Infant Psychopathology and Family Relations from Paris. She is also an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.

Dr Saddik specialises in the assessment and treatment of infants, children, young people, families, and couples, with particular expertise in trauma. She has held significant leadership roles, including Consultant Lead Clinical Psychologist and Head of Psychology at CAMHS West London, where she has led one of the largest NHS child clinical psychology teams embedded within CAMHS for over two decades.

Dr Saddik operates a well-established private practice at 10 Harley Street, which has been providing high-quality psychological assessments and interventions for over 22 years. The practice specialises in medico-legal and expert witness court reports across various legal areas, including cases involving parent contact and custody, child neglect and abuse, child forensic psychological assessments, fitness to plead, and trauma assessments relating to road traffic accidents, refugee and asylum experiences, modern slavery, and other general traumas.

She also provides specialist assessments such as age assessments and court reports for asylum and immigration matters. Alongside assessments, a full range of individual and family treatment interventions is offered, in collaboration with consultant psychiatrists, systemic therapists, and other multidisciplinary professionals. Dr Saddik also offers consultation and supervision for professionals seeking to develop their expertise in expert witness work.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
