About Mr Peter Dacombe
Mr Peter Dacombe is a highly trained Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of shoulder, elbow and upper limb conditions. He is based at The Ridgeway Hospital, alongside his NHS practice at Great Western Hospital, and manages a wide range of problems including shoulder dislocation, rotator cuff tears, frozen shoulder, arthritis, upper limb fractures, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome and cubital tunnel syndrome. Mr Dacombe graduated from the University of Nottingham Medical School in 2007 and completed his foundation training in London. During this time, he achieved an MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine with Distinction. He then returned to the South West of England to undertake his core and higher surgical training in the Severn region, gaining extensive experience across Bristol and surrounding hospitals. Following completion of UK orthopaedic training, Mr Dacombe travelled to Perth, Western Australia, where he undertook a Fellowship in Upper Limb and Trauma Surgery. This advanced his expertise in arthroscopic (keyhole) shoulder and elbow surgery, shoulder replacement, soft tissue reconstruction and complex upper limb trauma. Mr Dacombe prioritises accurate diagnosis, minimally invasive treatment and a collaborative approach to help patients achieve their individual goals.
"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."
