About Dr Noor Bekkali
Dr Noor Bekkali is a Consultant Gastroenterologist with specialist expertise in pancreatobiliary disease and advanced endoscopy. She practises at Nuffield Health The Manor Hospital and also holds a consultant position at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Dr Bekkali’s clinical work focuses on the diagnosis and management of hepatopancreatobiliary conditions, including pancreatic and biliary diseases, as well as general gastroenterology conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, and abdominal pain. She has extensive experience in advanced endoscopic procedures, including endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), which she performs for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Her procedural expertise includes tissue sampling for conditions such as pancreatic cancer, gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GIST), neuroendocrine tumours (NETs), and lymphoma. She also performs therapeutic interventions including coeliac plexus neurolysis, biliary drainage, necrosectomy in severe pancreatitis, and gastrojejunostomy. Dr Bekkali has completed fellowships at University College London Hospitals and the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle, following her medical degree and PhD at the Academic Medical Centre in Amsterdam. She is actively involved in research, with publications in the field of pancreatobiliary disease and endoscopy, and contributes to national and international clinical trials. In addition to her clinical work, she is engaged in teaching and training, delivering courses in EUS and ERCP internationally. She is also a member of professional organisations including the British Society of Gastroenterology, the UK and Ireland Pancreatic Society, and the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr Noor Bekkali provides care for patients requiring specialist assessment of complex hepatopancreatobiliary conditions as well as general gastrointestinal disorders.
