About
Miss Slator holds the MBChB degree and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Neurosurgery (FRCS (SN)). She completed her neurosurgical training in Birmingham, followed by a six-month fellowship in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) disorders and trauma in 2019. She subsequently undertook a dedicated spinal fellowship in Leeds in 2020, gaining advanced experience in the surgical management of degenerative, traumatic and complex spinal pathology, before taking up her consultant post in the South West.
Her clinical work includes the assessment and treatment of back and spinal pain using both surgical and non-surgical approaches. Procedures offered include minimally invasive spinal surgery, lumbar spine microsurgery, spinal decompression, microdiscectomy and facet joint denervation, with treatment plans tailored to individual pathology and functional needs.
Alongside her clinical practice, Miss Slator is active in research and education. She has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters and regularly presents at national and international specialist meetings. She also works in pre-hospital care at sporting events across the West Midlands and South West and contributes to the training of healthcare professionals in trauma and spinal care.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
