Mr Malcolm Wilson

About
He completed his medical and surgical training in London, Manchester and Fort Lauderdale in Florida. Following this he undertook research into colorectal cancer proliferation and was awarded an MD by the University of London.
Mr Wilson took up his first consultant post in 1998 at East Cheshire and Stockport NHS Trusts. In April 2000 he was made a Consultant Colorectal and Pelvic Oncological Surgeon at The Christie, and was Director of Surgery between 2006 and 2014. He is currently Lead Clinician for Colorectal Surgery, joint Lead of the Peritoneal Tumour Service and a member of Pelvic Tumour Team. He is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the School of Medicine, University of Manchester, and Consultant Appointment Assessor at the Royal College of Surgeons.
He is actively involved in clinical research and has been published extensively. He is a regular contributor projects concerning colorectal and anal cancer, peritoneal tumours and post-operative adhesions. He is also a member of the SCAR panel, which is a national group focused on adhesion research.
