About Mr John Dabis
Mr John Dabis is highly specialised in the treatment of a wide range of knee issues including ligament ruptures, meniscal tears, sports injuries, paediatric knee conditions, complex and revision knee surgery, young adult knee preservation, osteotomy, and partial/total and revision knee replacements. Mr Dabis completed his Higher Specialty Training in Orthopaedics in the South West London rotation. He undertook 2 fellowships at the UK Osteotomy centre and at the Brisbane Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Centre. He was awarded the BOSTAA travelling fellowship in Europe, as well as two trauma-related fellowships, Harvard Trauma in Boston Massachusetts and limb reconstruction in Pretoria, South Africa. He has completed a Master's degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine at University College London. Mr Dabis is a senior knee and trauma surgeon at Kingston Hospital, and is a member of the British Association for Surgery of the Knee, European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery & Arthroscopy, British Orthopaedic Sports Trauma and Arthroscopy Association, UK Knee Osteotomy Registry, and the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. He has won several prizes for his work including the coveted ESSKA award. He has published numerous peer-reviewed publications, presented globally in conferences around the world, and written many chapters for textbooks. He remains an active educator and trainer.
