He then undertook further laparoscopic colorectal training fellowships in Colchester and Yeovil, where he gained expertise in laparoscopic appendicectomy, day-case laparoscopic cholecystectomy, and benign and malignant laparoscopic colorectal resection. In addition, he carried out research at St. Mark's Hospital and Imperial College London.
He has written publications on several topics in colorectal surgery, including anorectal problems and fistula-in-ano. He is currently conducting joint research on colorectal cancer laparoscopic resection.
