He is currently a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Oculoplastic Surgeon at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and serves as Honorary Senior Lecturer at Hull York Medical School. Teaching forms a significant part of his work, involving undergraduate and postgraduate education, as well as lectures to local general practitioners and optometrists. He is a member of the medical advisory committee at Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital and Medical Director for Family and Women’s Health Group at Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
Mr Vize has published research in peer-reviewed journals on topics including catastrophic antiphospholipid syndrome, anterior segment ischaemia, eyelid malposition and surgical techniques.
