Dr Mazen Salowm is a highly qualified and experienced pediatric surgeon who has worked in some of the most prestigious hospitals around the world. He is currently based at Medcare Women and Children's Hospital where he specializes in cosmetic paediatric surgery, such as cleft lip repair and hypospadias repair, which can make life-changing differences for children born with these conditions.
Dr Salowm undertook his medical degree at Al Fateh University in Lybia before completing residencies in Damascus (Syria) and then moving to the UAE where he has worked for a number of years. During this time, he published a study on 24 cases of esophageal atresia with a high success rate.
In 2017, he moved to UAE and joined Al Qasemi Hospital as a paediatric surgery specialist before moving to Zulekha Hospital where he successfully treated a complex case using Foker's procedure.
Dr Salowm speaks both English and Arabic.
