About

Dr Thomas Crake completed his undergraduate studies almost 40 years ago at University of Newcastle upon Tyne and is currently a Consultant Cardiologist at The Heart Hospital, University College Hospitals and North Middlesex University Hospital. His specialist training in cardiology was undertaken at the National Heart Hospital, The Cardiothoracic Institute and Hammersmith Hospital, with a particular interest in interventional cardiology. He is currently the lead for interventional cardiology at the Heart Hospital.

Thomas is a vastly experienced cardiologist, who is able to deal with all aspects of adult cardiology including acute coronary syndrome, angina, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease and arrhythmias. His special interests include angioplasty and stent implantation.

Additionally, he has a keen interest in teaching and training junior doctors and is currently the training programme director for cardiology in the North East and North Central sectors of London. He is also actively involved in research, having published widely on various aspects of heart pathology.

Thomas is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.
