Medicine since 2002. He was trained in bronchoscopy at the including techniques

in endobronchial ultrasound and has a high diagnostic rate for lung cancer. 

Dr Raghuram’s research was in small airways diseases. This

resulted in a lasting interest in managing patients with narrowed airways and

respiratory failure and enhanced his interest in managing patients with

unexplained breathlessness and persistent cough. 

Dr Raghuram has an interest in managing patients with

sarcoidosis and pulmonary fibrosis. 

Dr Raghuram has an enduring interest in teaching and has a

Masters in Healthcare education from Bristol University. He was head of

postgraduate school of medicine (2015-23) and an Examiner and elected trustee

councillor at the Royal College of Physicians of London. 

He has been appointed as Chief Medical officer at NHS

Gloucestershire ICB December 2023. 

He was awarded an MBE in the Queen' Birthday Honours in

2021.
