About Dr Amit Bhan
Dr Amit Bhan, Consultant Cardiologist, currently works within the Barts Health NHS Trust at the Barts Heart Centre and Great Ormond Street Hospital. He has a wealth of experience in treating all aspects of cardiology and has a special interest in interventional cardiology and congenital heart disease. Dr Bhan began his medical education at St Barts and the Royal London Medical School before getting his Doctorate in Medicine (MD) from King's College London. He undertook his specialist training in cardiology in units throughout London and the Southeast. He did special training in congenital heart disease training at several London-based hospitals including The Royal Brompton, Guy's and St Thomas', and Great Ormond St Hospitals. Upon completing his training, he undertook a fellowship at Barts Heart Centre in Catheter Intervention for Structural and Congenital Heart Disease. He was later appointed to Consultant at the same institution. Dr Bhan is an active member of the research community, remaining actively involved in clinical trials and research and has numerous peer-reviewed publications focusing on interventional cardiology.
