Damien McCoy
Physiotherapy
About
Damien holds a BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy from Teesside University and an MSc in Physiotherapy from Edinburgh Napier University. His combined training enables him to blend hands-on clinical expertise with structured, evidence-based exercise prescription. In addition to his work in professional football, Damien has experience across a variety of gym settings, further strengthening his understanding of strength development, conditioning, and movement quality.
He is highly skilled in manual therapy techniques and dry needling, using these alongside tailored rehabilitation programmes to support recovery and enhance performance.
Damien is passionate about helping people move better, feel stronger, and regain confidence in their bodies, whether they are returning to sport, recovering from surgery, or simply aiming to improve mobility and overall physical health.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
— Damien McCoy
