Dr Rowlands specialises in treating adjustment disorder, anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, bipolar disorder, body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), depression, personality disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), schizophrenia, seasonal affective disorder (SAD), and sleep disorders such as insomnia. Dr Rowlands completed her medical training at Barts and The London Medical School, following a BA in Biological Anthropology at the University of Cambridge. She has further developed her expertise through a Diploma in Legal Medicine from The Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine and a Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership for Healthcare Improvement from the University of Derby. She has been a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists since 2013, the same year she was awarded the Quality Improvement Project of the Year at the East of England Deanery Celebration of Success Awards.
Since joining Priory in 2016, Dr Rowlands has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient roles and is now the Clinical Lead for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) at Priory Hospital Chelmsford. She is an Approved Clinician and holds Section 12(2) approval under the Mental Health Act, allowing her to conduct specialist assessments and manage complex cases.
