About Miss Ana Lopez-Marco
Miss Ana Lopez-Marco is a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Cardiac and Aortic Surgeon, offering a range of treatments and tests at Nuffield Health. After completing her medical degree at the University of Valencia in 2005, she undertook two National Training Programmes in Cardiovascular and Cardiothoracic Surgery in Spain and Wales. Miss Lopez-Marco was also awarded the SCTS Ethicon National Fellowship, which enabled her to receive further training in Complex Aortic Surgery at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London. She is double board certified (RCS Ed and EBCTS) and holds a PhD degree from the University of Barcelona. In addition to her clinical work, Miss Lopez-Marco is an active researcher with over 30 publications to her name. She has a particular interest in improving clinical outcomes and is currently working as a patient advocate to increase awareness of aortic dissection and improve clinical pathways for better outcomes. Miss Lopez-Marco is a member of several professional organisations, including the Society for Cardiothoracic Surgeons, European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and the Medical Protection Society. She is fluent in English and Spanish and is committed to delivering high-quality care to her patients.
