Cardiothoracic Surgery
About
Mr Hoschtitzky studied medicine at Leiden University Medical School in the Netherlands, where he grew up. He completed his postgraduate training in cardiac surgery across London, Bristol, and Manchester, followed by prestigious congenital cardiac fellowships at both Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Evelina Children’s Hospital in London.
Before joining the Royal Brompton Hospital, Mr Hoschtitzky served as Clinical Lead for the Northwest of England and North Wales Adult Congenital Heart Disease Programme based in Manchester, while also working as an Honorary Paediatric Cardiac Surgeon at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Hoschtitzky remains deeply committed to global health initiatives. He is working in collaboration with the International Children’s Heart Foundation and Healing Little Hearts to establish self-sustaining congenital cardiac surgery services in north-eastern Brazil and Angola— expanding access to life-saving care for children with congenital heart conditions.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
