Dr Abid Quddus Qazi is a well experienced Paediatric Surgeon at Mubadala Health Dubai. He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1990 from the University of Peshawar, Pakistan. Following his graduation, he underwent an extensive residency training program in Paediatric and General Surgery at the Children’s Hospital (Pakistan Institute Medical Sciences), Pakistan, spanning from 1991 to 1997. Dr Qazi became a Fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan in 1997.
Between 2004 and 2011, Dr Qazi practiced in the United Kingdom, where he pursued specialised training in Paediatric Surgery. Upon the successful completion of his training, he attained an Intercollegiate Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in Paediatric Surgery. Subsequently, he was granted a Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR). In 2022, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. Upon returning to Pakistan, D Qazi dedicated five years to serving as a Paediatric Oncology Surgeon in a busy cancer hospital.
With over 32 years of experience, Dr Abid Qazi specialises in General Paediatric Surgery, Paediatric Surgical Oncology, and Paediatric hepatobiliary surgery. He has specialist expertise in: solid tumour surgery, including Wilms tumour, liver tumour, neuroblastoma, laparoscopic fundoplication, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, scarless appendectomy, laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair, biliary atresia surgery, ultrasound-guided vascular access for children, dialysis access (peritoneal or vascular) for children, and urological and vascular access services for renal transplants.
