He subsequently relocated to Sydney to complete formal Orthopaedic Surgical Training and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
Dr. Steiner pursued subspecialty Fellowship training in Spine Surgery at the Royal North Shore Hospital, focusing on elective and complex spinal trauma surgery, and later at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London, where he refined his expertise in minimally invasive spinal surgery and the multidisciplinary management of primary and metastatic spinal tumours.
He is actively involved in registrar education and contributes as a reviewer for the Collaborating Hospitals Audit of Surgical Mortality with the NSW Clinical Excellence Commission.
