Common questions
Before you upload
Will the second opinion be shared with my current doctor?
Only with your explicit consent. The report is yours. You can share the plain-language PDF, the clinical FHIR addendum, both, or neither. Most patients share the addendum and keep the conversation themselves.
How qualified are the reviewing consultants?
Every reviewer is board-certified in the destination country, has at least 10 years of consultant-grade practice, currently maintains a clinical caseload (no retired-from-practice reviewers), and clears our quarterly peer-review audit.
What if the consultant agrees with my current plan?
About 7% of cases land here. You still get the full written review and the consultation — the value is the confidence of an independent assessment. The fee is identical regardless of conclusion.
How private is my data?
End-to-end encrypted upload, stored in the EU only, encrypted at rest with HSM-backed keys, and accessible only to you and the assigned consultant. No advertising trackers, no marketing reuse, and we destroy the working copies 90 days after report sign-off.
Can I get a refund if I'm not satisfied?
Yes. If the report misses your stated questions or contains factual errors, we re-do it free or refund in full — your choice. We tracked 0.4% refunds across 2025; we publish the live number on our trust page.
Do you cover paediatric cases?
Paediatric oncology, cardiology and orthopaedics are covered. Other paediatric specialties launch Q3 2026.
