In addition, he is heavily involved with acute and general medicine including the assessment and management of acutely sick patients as well as the investigation of complex undifferentiated symptoms. He participates in the medical on call rota at the Royal Free Hospital and at the Princess Grace Hospital.

At the Royal Free, he runs a unique collaborative clinic with dermatology consultants concentrating on complex psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis patients. He is an educational supervisor for junior doctors, clinical tutor for undergraduate medical students and principal investigator in a number of clinical trials. He advises local commissioning groups and national bodies on the use of biologics in inflammatory diseases.
