Yasmeen Arafsha is a dedicated Dental Hygienist with a commitment to prevention and education in oral health. Graduating from King Saud University in Riyadh in 2010, Yasmeen has gained over a decade of experience in the field, with a particular focus on treating medically compromised patients and those with special needs.
Throughout her career, Yasmeen has presented at numerous national and international conferences as both a speaker and chairperson. She is a founding member of the Saudi Dental Hygiene Society and an active participant in the Western club of the Saudi Dental Hygiene Society, as well as serving as a Board member in the Emirates Dental Hygienist Club.
Yasmeen's dedication to enhancing oral health education led her to become an iTOP (Individualised Oral Prophylaxis) student and later a trainer, elevating her communication skills and knowledge in oral health education through the adoption of the touch-to-teach philosophy.
In 2017, Yasmeen established the HOPE project (Hospital Oral health Patient Education), aiming to improve preventive dental care and provide education on oral health to hospital patients and staff, emphasising its connection to overall health.
Additionally, Yasmeen created an Internship program in 2018 for dental hygiene graduates at King Faisal Specialist Hospital, incorporating modules on clinical skills, communication skills, and managing medically compromised patients.
