About Mr Walter Cazzaniga
Mr. Walter Cazzaniga is a Consultant Urological Surgeon practicing in London. He completed his Urology training at San Raffaele Hospital in Milan (Italy) and then undertook fellowship training in the Urology Department at The Royal Marsden Hospital. Mr. Walter Cazzaniga has extensive experience in Urologic Oncology with special interest in kidney cancer, testicular cancer and retroperitoneal tumours, offering traditional open surgery approach and minimally invasive techiniques. In addition, his clinical expertise extends to all major urological conditions including benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), haematuria, Urinary tract infections (UTIs) and general conditions of the scrotum and penis Alongside his clinical practice, he is an active researcher; in 2018 he completed a research fellowship at the Department of Surgical Sciences at Uppsala University (Sweden), publiching several peer-reviewed articles. In 2021, he was awarded a research Grant by the European Association of Urology (EAU) for the study of the of a subtype of testicular cancers. Presently, Mr. Cazzaniga's research focuses mainly on the analysis of the quality of life for cancer survivors and minimally invasive surgical approaches. Mr. Walter Cazzaniga serves as an Associate Member of the European Association of Urology (EAU) Testicular Cancer Guidelines that creates guidelines which influence clinical practice worldwide.
