Following this, he pursued further specialisation in Canada, undertaking a fellowship in Maternal-Foetal Medicine at the University of Ottawa, a programme accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
His clinical interests include the detailed monitoring and planning for high-risk pregnancies, including twin pregnancies. Dr Alaali has a keen focus on the early detection and diagnosis of congenital and genetic conditions in unborn babies, utilising detailed ultrasound examinations, including specialised foetal heart scans. He is also experienced in managing the health of mothers with chronic diseases during pregnancy.
