About Dr Vikram Jayaprakash
Dr Vikram Jayaprakash is one of Australia's leading Hair Restoration doctors based in Melbourne at Atlantis Medical and Dr Tass Cosmetics and Skin Clinics. He completed his medical degree in the UK at the University of Southampton in 1998. He later moved to Australia and was awarded his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners, as well as the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners in 2014. He became certified by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgeons in 2019. Dr Jayaprakash also operates in Auckland, New Zealand at the Auckland Hair Clinic. Dr Jayaprakash is specialised in both Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) and Follicular Unit Extraction surgery and has an artistic eye for designing eyebrows and hairlines. He is skilled in managing cases of hair loss in both men and women. Alongside his expertise in hair restoration, Dr Jayaprakash has extensive experience in functional medicine, anti-ageing medicine, preventative medicine and sclerotherapy for the treatment of varicose veins. He also has expertise in a range of cosmetic treatments, including Botox injections and dermal fillers. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Jayaprakash is the Creator and Co-Host of the popular YouTube Channel, 'The Hair Loss Show'. On this channel he and world renowned hair restoration surgeon Dr Russell Knudsen discuss issues relating to hair loss in both men and women.
