Dr Sheik Mohamed Hashim is an experienced Specialist ENT and Head & Neck Surgeon with more than two decades of clinical expertise in otolaryngology. He also holds a position as Clinical Tutor in the Department of Otolaryngology at United Arab Emirates University.
Dr Hashim completed his MBBS and MS (ENT) degrees at BR Ambedkar Medical College under Bangalore University. Following his postgraduate training, he worked extensively in leading ENT and specialty hospitals in Bangalore, including Medikeri’s Super Specialty ENT Hospital, Bangalore Children’s Hospital & Research Center, and Jagannath Memorial Institute of Oncology.
Over the course of his career, he has held senior consultant and leadership positions including Senior Consultant and Head of Department of ENT–Head & Neck Surgery at St Philomena’s Hospital and Postgraduate Institute and Senior Consultant ENT Surgeon at Nova Specialty Hospitals, an Apollo-affiliated institution. He also previously worked as a Specialist ENT Surgeon within Burjeel Holdings.
Dr Hashim’s clinical interests include the management of sinus disorders, hearing loss, pediatric ENT conditions, head and neck surgery, chronic ear disease, and complex nasal conditions. He has conducted and presented multiple clinical studies and research papers on topics including atrophic rhinitis, sensory-neural deafness, mucormycosis, lingual thyroid, Waardenburg syndrome, refractory sinusitis management, and post-tonsillectomy complications in pediatric patients.
He is an active member of several professional organisations, including the Association of Otolaryngologists of India and the Indian Otological Society. He is also registered with the Karnataka State Medical Council and the Indian Medical Association.
