Additionally, Dr. Bansal offers Court of Protection services and acts as an Expert Witness, providing medico-legal reports for court or tribunal proceedings.
Dr. Bansal completed his medical degree (MBBS) at Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University in India before relocating to the UK for advanced studies. His training includes rotations at prestigious institutions such as Oxford and the Royal Free Hospital (now part of University College London).
Dr. Bansal is fully registered and holds a license to practice with the General Medical Council (GMC), UK. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (FRCPsych) and a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych). His practice is fully insured by the Medical Defence Union (MDU).
Dr. Bansal is an Approved Clinician under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act 1983 and is authorized by the Secretary of State to conduct formal mental health assessments.
His additional qualifications include a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (with distinction) from the UK, a Certificate in Acupuncture from the Indian Institute of Complementary Medicine, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Leadership from the National Leadership Academy. Dr. Bansal is also a Mental Health Assessor for Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) under the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
Dr. Bansal has lectured at various hospitals and universities across the UK. He is a recognized Clinical and Educational Supervisor and serves as a Royal College Examiner for the MRCpsych.
