Dr. Sanae Reqqoug is a board-certified Specialist Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with extensive expertise in both diagnostic and interventional endoscopy. She completed her Specialist training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at the University of Balamand and further enhanced her qualifications with AFSA certifications in Gastroenterology from Paris Descartes (Paris 5) and in Digestive Oncology from Pierre-Marie Curie (Paris 7). A former fellow of the University of Rennes in France—one of Europe’s premier centres for hepatology, proctology, inflammatory bowel diseases, and digestive oncology—Dr. Reqqoug also completed subspecialisation in proctology and digestive oncology after graduating from the University Mohamed V in Rabat, Morocco.
Dr. Reqqoug’s clinical expertise covers the management of gastro-esophageal reflux disease, inflammatory bowel disease, liver diseases, intestinal malabsorption, and a wide range of other gastrointestinal conditions. She is highly skilled in performing procedures such as diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy (including esophageal band ligation), colonoscopy, weight loss-related endoscopy with balloon and botulinum toxin injections, STRETTA, small bowel enteroscopy, capsule endoscopy, ERCP, and paracentesis. In addition, she uses abdominal ultrasonography and functional digestive explorations to provide comprehensive gastrointestinal assessments, ensuring optimal comfort for all patients.
Practicing in Dubai since 2014, Dr. Reqqoug is actively involved in clinical research, with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at international congresses. Her practice is grounded in evidence-based medicine and multidisciplinary teamwork, which enables her to offer the highest standard of care to her diverse patient base.
