Dr. Dawood completed his general adult psychiatry training in the UK through the renowned Maudsley and South London and St George’s training schemes, which included sub-specialty training in neuropsychiatry and rehabilitation psychiatry. In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Dawood is an accomplished researcher, with his work published in peer-reviewed international psychiatric journals. He is also a dedicated educator, serving as a clinical supervisor for higher psychiatry trainees, GP trainees, and trust grade doctors at Health Education England (HEE). Furthermore, he is a clinical and educational supervisor for medical students at GKT School of Medical Education, King’s College London. He leads an interdisciplinary teaching unit comprising psychiatrists, junior doctors, medical students, nurses, social workers, and other support staff. Dr. Dawood’s special interests extend to stress-related mental health issues, anxiety, personality disorders, psychological sexual dysfunction, psychosomatic illnesses, PTSD, and other common mental health conditions. Beyond his current roles, Dr. Dawood has extensive teaching experience, having led higher training sessions in psychiatry for South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust. From 2003 to 2007, he also served as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Hadramout University in Yemen.
