About

Dr. Ryan De Cruz is a Consultant Dermatologist with over a decade of experience in the diagnosis and management of skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and rosacea. Dr. Cruz centers his practice around identifying the root cause of issues his patients present and offers a holistic, individualised treatment in response. He sees private patients at the Southern Dermatology Clinic.

Dr. Cruz earned his primary medical qualification at the University of Melbourne, after which he completed his residency at St Vincent's Hospital. Upon completion, Dr. Cruz was awarded the opportunity to continue his advanced training in dermatology at St. Georges Hospital, London. After continuing to gain knowledge and expertise in various hospitals in the UK and Melbourne, Dr. Cruz later gained a place on the Victoria Fellowship program, during which he researched and gained insight into the impact of immunosuppression on the skin, at King's, Guy's, and St. Thomas Hospital, London. He has since been appointed Consultant at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, where he now leads the multidisciplinary Bone Marrow Transplant - Dermatology Clinic.

Dr. Cruz is also an active member of the medical education community and regularly partakes in the training of junior doctors and medical students. Dr. Cruz is also the Founder of Southern Dermatology, which provides an excellent standard of care to their patients by prioritising compassion, communication, and sincerity for the best clinical outcomes.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
