Dr Ruth Collins

About
Dr Collins earned her medical qualification in 1989 from Nottingham University in the UK before undertaking postgraduate studies in Newcastle Upon Tyne. In 2001, she earned a fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Urol). Following this, Dr Collins worked as a urology fellow at Concord Hospital in Sydney before earning her FRACS(Urol) in 2003 and joining Concord Hospital and later Sydney Adventist Hospital as a visiting medical officer.
Dr Collins has made a number of contributions to research and has been published in peer-reviewed journals. She has also given presentations on the role of peptide growth factors in benign and malignant prostate cancer. Her current research looks at how pelvic surgery, particularly incontinence procedures, affect female sexual function.
