Mr Ross Elledge is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon practising at Spire Parkway Hospital, The Priory Hospital, Edgbaston and The Westbourne Centre. Mr Elledge gained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours from the University of Malta in 2003 with the highest mark in his year and spent a few years working for the state health service in Malta before moving to the UK where he worked in Paediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. He later completed the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow before undertaking an accelerated medical degree at the University of Birmingham, which he completed in 2010, coming first in his year and gaining the Sir Arthur Thomson Gold Medal and the Chancellor's Prize.
Mr Elledge undertook his core surgical training in Plastic Surgery around the West Midlands and completed the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons exams in 2012. Following higher training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, he completed sub-specialty Fellowships in Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery and the Management of Skin Cancer, and he is a member of the skin cancer Multi-disciplinary Team (LSMDT) at Solihull Hospital. Mr Elledge is an expert in advanced arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery for the temporomandibular joint. He is also one of a handful of surgeons in the United Kingdom trained to provide total alloplastic replacement of the temporomandibular joint.
Mr Elledge is currently an Associate Editor for the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Education Lead for higher trainee in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the West Midlands.
