Dr Becker Ferla graduated with his medical degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande Do Sul, Brazil in 1988. After qualifying he undertook his postgraduate residency in General Surgery at the Portuguese Beneficence Hospital, Brazil, completing it in 1991. He later completed his Plastic Surgery residency in 1994, after-which he was certified as a Specialist Plastic Surgeon by the Brazilian Medical Association and the Brazilian Federal Medical Council. In 1998, he became a Full Member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery and was appointed as a Consultant. He also holds a Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK.
Dr Becker Ferla practiced in his own private clinic in Brazil for 12 years before moving to the Middle East. Prior to his current position at United Medical Center, he practiced at several centres in Dubai, including Valiant Healthcare and British Day Surgical Centre.
