About Dr Rajan Patel
Dr Rajan Patel graduated from the University of Liverpool with a BDS in 2002; he also completed his MFD, being awarded with Membership of the Faculty of Dentistry (RCSI). With over 15 years' experience and possessing skills in the fields of oral implantology and surgical dentistry, Dr Patel has broadened his ability to offer a number of procedures to his patients. Dr Patel completed postgraduate training in the UK and Republic of Ireland, before then going on to enrol on more advanced courses in Switzerland at the University of Bern; he also studied in Hungary and the United States of America before returning to the UK. Rajan specialises in dental surgery, performing procedures from wisdom tooth extraction to maxillofacial surgery for patients who have experienced trauma. Dr Patel also has a passion for teaching; he currently mentors dentists about surgical-based dentistry and implants, representing the ITI (International Team for Implantology) as a fellow and registered speaker. More recently, Dr Patel has become the Communication Officer for ITI in both the UK and the Republic of Ireland, running the ITI study club in Croydon; this promotes to the dental community what opportunities there are for postgraduate education, both locally and nationally.
