About Prof Ley Sander
Professor Sander is a Professor of Neurology and clinical epilepsy and a consultant neurologist. He heads the World Health Organisation's collaborative centre for research and training in neurosciences in London. He is currently scientific director of SEIN. His research interests include the epidemiological aspects of epilepsy, pharmacology, antiepileptic drug development, epilepsy management in resource-poor settings. Professor Sander has a strong interest in Global Health and outside his work within the UK and the Netherlands he has been involved in setting up epilepy centres or carrying out research in countries such as China, Brazil, Ecuador, Georgia and India.
