About Mr Philip Goodall
Mr Philip Goodall is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, specialising in complex and advanced renal and bladder cancer, as well as all aspects of general urology. His expertise covers the management of superficial and advanced bladder and pelvic cancers, upper tract urothelial cancer, and renal cancer. He also has a particular interest in aquablation of the prostate - an innovative minimally invasive option designed to preserve quality of life while delivering effective symptom relief for benign prostate enlargement. Mr Goodall undertakes major open, robotic, and minimally invasive renal, bladder, and pelvic procedures, in addition to a full range of general urological operations. These include prostate cancer diagnostics, benign prostate surgery, specifically Aquablation and transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), as well as scrotal and testicular surgery, circumcision, penile surgery, and endoscopic bladder surgery. He graduated from the University of Nottingham with a BMedsci in 2008 and a BMBS in 2010. He completed an MPhil in cancer biomarker research at Nottingham Trent University in 2021 and is the current Urological-Oncology Cancer MDT Lead as well undergraduate urology teaching lead at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. Outside of work, Mr Goodall enjoys time with his two young children and is a keen runner, golfer, and squash player.
