Dr Paraskevas Vakis Kontoes is a highly experienced Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Skin & Slim, renowned for his pioneering contributions to Laser Aesthetic surgery in Greece and throughout Europe. He is also a Visiting Professor and Chairman of the Education Council for the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).
Dr Kontoes completed his PhD in Medicine and Pharmacy at the National University of Athens, Greece in 1985 and was registered as a specialist in plastic surgery by the Athens Medical Association, Greece in 1994. In 1995, he achieved a significant milestone by performing the first-ever full-face resurfacing for wrinkles and age spots in the country.
One of his notable achievements is the development of laser blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) using the Single Suture Traction Technique (SSTT), a ground-breaking approach that he introduced and published. Dr Kontoes believes in applying his entire expertise of aesthetic and plastic surgery techniques to provide the best care to his patients.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Kontoes’ extensive research in laser and plastic surgery is recognised globally. He has been invited to frequent invitations to international congresses and universities where he presents his knowledge and insights. He has also authored several papers, reviews and clinical studies in International Journals and is author of the book “State of the art in Blepharoplasty”.
