Mr Waleed Yousef is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Minimal Access Surgeon with extensive experience in the management of complex gynaecological conditions. He is the Minimal Access Lead at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust and is based at Eastbourne District General Hospital.
His clinical practice includes the management of pelvic pain, endometriosis, abnormal uterine bleeding (particularly in women with fibroid uterus), menopausal symptoms, and utero-vaginal prolapse without the use of mesh. He has extensive surgical experience in hysterectomy procedures, including open and laparoscopic approaches, and expertise in the early detection of gynaecological cancers.
Mr Yousef trained and worked in Egypt before completing specialist training at The Royal Surrey County Hospital, where he gained significant experience managing patients with chronic pelvic pain and endometriosis. Since joining Eastbourne District General Hospital in 2011, he has led the development of the Gynaecology Treatment Suite, enabling more patients to be treated in an outpatient setting.
Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Yousef contributes to education and training. He teaches hysteroscopy at both national and international level and is a recognised national trainer in outpatient operative hysteroscopy.
