Mr Yasen qualified in 1974 from the University of Baghdad before completing five years compulsory general practice at Baghdad Medical City Teaching Hospital. Since then, he has gone on to become a specialist in Ophthalmology.
Mr Yasen became Registrar at The Royal Hospital of Victoria, in Bournemouth in 1986 and later progressed to work as Associate Specialist at the hospital.
