Mr Tet L Yap is a Consultant Urologist based in London with over 8 years of consultant experience. Mr Yap completed his medical degree from the University of Cambridge in 1999. He later completed his specialist training in urology at many of London's top medical centres, including University College London, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital and St Bartholomew's Hospital. Mr Yap also completed a number of postgraduate fellowships in Urology at UCL Hospital and Stanford as well as in Andrology and Paediatric Urology at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
He was first appointed as a Consultant in 2014 at St George's Hospital in London. At this hospital, Mr Yap developed the Complex Andrological Interventions service which offers services for reconstructive surgery and penile prosthesis. He is currently developing a Male Fertility Clinic at St George's Hospital and Croydon University Hospital. Mr Yap has also implemented an andrological services department at the Royal Marsden Hospital where he provides services for erectile dysfunction and infertility.
Mr Yap also sees patients privately at Princess Grace Hospital, Lister Hospital, London Andrology and London Clinic.
He has specialist interests in erectile dysfunction, reconstructive organ surgery and male fertility. He has many years of experience performing implant surgery and reconstructive genital surgery. He also has expertise in penile prosthesis and penile curvature.
Alongside his clinical work, Mr Yap is an editor for the British Journal of Urology International. He is also an interviewer for selecting registrars.
