About Mr Stuart McIntosh

Mr Stuart Mcintosh is a Consultant Breast Surgeon in the Breast Unit at Belfast City Hospital. He qualified from the University of Edinburgh in 1993 and trained in the South of Scotland, North and North-East Scotland and in Leeds where he completed a National Oncoplastic Training Fellowship. He passed the FRCS (Gen Surg) exam in 2004 and took up a consultant post in Royal Aberdeen Infirmary in 2005 where he stayed until 2009. He then moved to Northern Ireland where he works as a Consultant Breast Surgeon in the Breast Unit at Belfast City Hospital. Mr Mcintosh is an expert in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of breast conditions. He performs all aspects of breast surgery and has a keen interest in breast reconstruction following the surgical treatment of breast cancer. Mr Mcintosh is actively involved in research and education. He has co-authored more than 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his work nationally and internationally. He is also a Senior Lecturer at Queen's University Belfast.
