Mr. Hornby’s clinical interests encompass a broad spectrum of Upper
Gastrointestinal (GI) conditions, including oesophagogastric cancer, advanced
robotic surgery, and both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. He also
specializes in treating benign upper GI conditions, such as gallstone disease
and hernias, with a strong focus on enhancing patient outcomes and quality of
life. His approach combines the latest technological advances with a deep
commitment to improving the health and well-being of his patients.
In addition to his clinical practice, Mr. Hornby is a passionate surgical
educator. He has designed and led several courses aimed at improving both
technical and non-technical surgical skills, believing that continuous
education is vital for advancing patient care. His leadership roles with the
Association of Surgeons in Training, where he served as President and Director
of Education, reflect his commitment to shaping the future of surgery. In
