Mr. Srinivasan Subramaniam offers a free full (1 hour) no obligation initial consultation for his cataract and refractive lens surgery patients. He follows the insurers fee schedule for all his insured patients.
Mr. Subramaniam is an extremely experienced consultant ophthalmologist based at The Park Hospital and Spire Hospital in Nottingham. He has a special interest in complex cataract surgery and laser eye surgery. With years of training from centres of excellence both in the UK and India, he is one of few surgeons nationwide who have experience in performing laser cataract surgery (femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, or femtophaco).
Mr. Subramaniam was one of the first to use innovative technologies in cataract and refractive surgery. He has extensive training and experience in using various premium lenses, including multifocal lenses, trifocal lenses, and accommodative lenses. Additionally, he was one of the first to undertake the assessment in laser refractive surgery conducted by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and is now an assessor for this procedure himself. He routinely performs LASIK and LASEK procedures as well as trains junior ophthalmology residents.
