Dr Samer Saour is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon specialising in Cosmetic Surgery, general plastic surgery, skin cancer and Reconstructive Surgery (Lower Limb, Breast, Abdominal wall and Perineal reconstruction). He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor in the Art of Obstetrics (MBBCh BAO) from the National University of Ireland in 2001. He later completed his Master's degree in Wound Healing and Tissue Repair.
He completed a number of fellowships at renowned plastic surgery centres, including an Aesthetic Fellowship at The Wellington Hospital and a Microsurgical Fellowship at the Royal Marsden Hospital. He also became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Plastic Surgery in 2014. He was awarded his Certificate of Completion of Training in Plastic Surgery and became registered as a Specialist in Plastic Surgery by the GMC in 2016.
Dr Saour has special interests in general and aesthetic surgery as well as lower limb, breast, abdominal and perineal microvascular reconstruction. He performs an expansive range of plastic and reconstructive procedures including face, brow and butt lifts, breast augmentations, body contouring and skin lesion removals alongside several other cosmetic and surgical procedures.
He has research interests in the innovation of plastic surgery and has published many papers in his field of expertise. He is also the author of several book chapters in plastic surgery books. He has presented his work all over the world at meetings.
Dr Saour was awarded the status of Honorary Senior Lecturer at St George's University, London and taught both undergraduate and postgraduate students and junior doctors.
Dr Saour is also a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons and the British Medical Association.
