About Mr Sam Oussedik
Mr Sam Oussedik is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon and Clinical Director of Trauma and Orthopaedics at University College London Hospitals (UCLH). He is a fellowship-trained knee, sports, and trauma surgeon, specialising in the full spectrum of knee surgery, including ligament reconstruction, cartilage restoration, osteotomy, patellofemoral stabilisation, and joint replacement using advanced robotic and navigation-assisted techniques. Mr Oussedik graduated in 1999 from St Bartholomew’s Medical College, London, before completing basic surgical training at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and becoming a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) in 2003. He entered the North West Thames Registrar Training Programme in Trauma and Orthopaedics and achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Tr&Orth) in 2010. In 2016, he was selected for the ABC Travelling Fellowship, visiting leading academic orthopaedic centres across the USA and Canada. Mr Oussedik is a founding member of the British Patellofemoral Society and serves as Specialty Editor for The Bone and Joint Journal. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and authored textbooks on trauma care, knee replacement, revision surgery, and osteotomy, contributing significantly to research and education in modern knee surgery.
