Mr Salman Mirza is a Consultant Ophthalmologist working at the Worcestershire Acute Hospital Foundation Trust, Spire Southbank Hospital Worcester and New Medica eye clinic and surgical centre, Worcester. Furthermore, he is experienced in performing Phacoemulsification cataract surgery and he routinely deals with complex cases with his specialism being underatking surgery in diabetic patients.
Mr Mirza takes an active part in the teaching of medical students (he is Senior Academy Tutor for University of Birmingham), junior doctors, optometrists and GP colleagues. He has research ineterests in age related macular degeneration and retinal vascular diseases.
He has organised several educational meetings within the Midlands region
He is also the audit and quality improvement lead for the trust in Ophthalmology.
