Mr Sachin Daivajna is a specialist orthopaedic consultant who sees patients suffering from hip and knee arthritis as well as sports injuries. He has over 18 years' experience in all aspects of orthopaedics and lower limb complaints. Mr Daivajna carries out hip and knee replacements for arthritis and has a special interest in hip arthroscopy (keyhole surgery). Other areas of interest include computerised hip and knee replacements and cell-based therapy such as PRP.
Following his initial medical qualification in India in 1999, Mr Daivajna trained in the East of England Deanery at the renowned Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, where he was awarded his fellowship in adult hip and knee reconstruction from the Royal College of Surgeons,London.
He then completed a further two fellowships during which he was mentored by Mr Richard Villar, the pioneer of hip arthroscopy in the UK. After this, he t spent a year in Vancouver, Canada working with Drs Clive Duncan and Bas Masri, leaders in the field of hip and knee reconstruction.
Mr Daivajna also has an interest in research, in particular hip arthroscopy and uncemented hip replacements. He has over 20 publications and has contributed to book chapters in this field.
