Professor Sriprasad is a highly experienced Consultant Urologist with a special focus on general urology, kidney cancer and stone diseases. His dedication to advancing urological care has led him to establish the Stone Centre, a tertiary referral facility offering comprehensive care for patients with stone disease. The centre is also recognised for its active clinical research programme, where innovative procedures and techniques are developed to improve patient outcomes.
As the Clinical Director for the Directorate of Urology and Nephrology, Professor Sriprasad played a key role in introducing dialysis services at Darent Valley Hospital. His contributions to clinical practice extend to advising the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) on emerging urological technologies and surgical techniques. He also played an instrumental role in the development of NICE guidelines on managing renal cysts.
Professor Sriprasad is deeply committed to research and education. He has published over 125 articles in peer-reviewed journals and frequently presents his findings at national and international conferences. He was the Associate Editor of The Journal of Clinical Urology and was the Programme Director for the MCh in Surgery (Urology) at Canterbury Christ Church University. His contributions to both clinical practice and academic research have made him a leading figure in his field..
Professor Sriprasad has served in BAUS council, was the Chair of the BAUS section of Endourology and was the President of Royal Socirty of Medicine ( Urology Section). Hw was awarded the John Anderson medal from BAUS. .
