About

After graduating from St Georges Hospital Medical School, London, in 1998 I completed my Basic Surgical Training and gained Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. I undertook a 2 year period of research into Advanced Bearings in hip replacements at University College London under the mentorship of Professor Haddad. Having subsequently completed my Specialist Training in Trauma & Orthopaedics and gained my Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Trauma & Orthopaedics) on the prestigious Royal London Specialist Registrar Training Rotation in 2011, I then completed a fellowship in Complex Primary and Revision Hip Arthroplasty at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital. I was awarded the competitive Travelling Fellowship from the British Hip Society in February 2012 and used this opportunity to further my understanding and experience in Primary and Revision Hip Arthroplasty Surgery at the Charite Hospital in Berlin under the mentorship of Professor Perka.

My areas of sub-specialist interests are in Primary Hip and Knee arthroplasty, Complex Primary and Revision Hip Arthroplasty, Hip Preservation Surgery (Hip Arthroscopy) and Periprosthetic hip fractures. Having completed a large portion of my training at The Royal London Hospital, which is a Level 1 Trauma centre, I am also experienced in the management of complex trauma patients.

I am actively engaged in the Enhanced Recovery Program for my Hip and Knee replacement patients and strive to develop this further to improve the outcomes for all of my patients.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
