Mr. Mohamed Mehasseb graduated in Medicine from the University of Cairo, Egypt, in 1997. He earned his MSc in 2001 and his MD in 2005 from the same institution. He was admitted as a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2004.
He completed most of his specialist training in Newcastle upon Tyne and Leicester, achieving accreditation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2010. He then pursued advanced training in laparoscopic surgery in Clermont-Ferrand, France, followed by a Fellowship in Gynaecological Oncology at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge. In 2011, he was awarded a PhD from the University of Leicester.
In 2012, Mr. Mehasseb was appointed as a Consultant Gynaecological Surgeon and Oncologist at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. In 2020, he moved to Liverpool Women's Hospital, where he continues his NHS practice.
Recognized for his exceptional contributions, Mr. Mehasseb holds two clinical excellence awards, celebrating his outstanding patient care, clinical skills, and dedication to teaching and service development.
He is a prolific author with numerous publications, including peer-reviewed research articles, book chapters, and reviews. He has received multiple research grants focusing on gynaecology and women's health. His work has been presented at national and international conferences, earning him several best presentation awards.

Additionally, he has contributed as an Advisory Board Member for Ethicon Endo-Surgery and Molnlycke Healthcare.
In 2024, he chaired the Local Organising Committee for the British Gynaecological Cancer Society Annual Scientific Meeting in Liverpool.
