Mr
Mr Matthew Oliver
Orthopaedic Surgery
About
He provides a clear, structured and efficient pathway from diagnosis to recovery, helping patients return to normal life as quickly and safely as possible. He is known for taking the time to explain scans and treatment options offering honest, straightforward advice.
He offers a rapid access hip and knee service with appointments typically within 1-2 weeks, fast access to x-ray and MRIs, and a prompt follow up to confirm a treatment plan. Surgery is scheduled without unnecessary delay allowing patient to avoid long waiting times and move quickly towards recovery. Early assessment can make a significant difference to recovery and outcome.
In recent years he has gained extensive experience in the use of Arthrosamid Hydrogel injections for painful arthritic knees.

In 2009 he was privileged in being selected to attend an intensive one-year Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at the University of Calgary in Canada. Following his return in 2010, he was appointed as a full time Consultant at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.
